I'm back from Alcon, full of enthusiasm! It's like a recharging of my creative batteries, and with three weeks to indulge in my own projects I'm feeling pretty upbeat!

The con was brilliant as usual, I was helping out in the artist's alley where there was the usual messing about with glue and pens and making cranes and several excellent artist panels by Sonia Leong ~FyredrakeMagick and Niki Hunter ~Niki-UK . We had some superb music as well from a band called Skull Branded Pirates (yes.. i bought the t-shirt...) and Niki Hunter's Visual Kei band did an amazing set! A treat for the ears and the eyes all round. It was really awsome to see everyone, and meet some new people! Hey Alcon peeps ^^ Big shout out to Ruth, who organized a huge wodge of everything, or so it seemed. Also to the guy who bought the illustrated cafe menu with my drawings on it.

One upshoot is that I'm feeling like I really should be trying to improve my artwork. I've been drawing a lot of quick slap-dash work lately, and havn't had time for my usual summer manga...so Steve ~davesideswide and I are going to try and do a little bit of life or figure drawing each day together. Hopefully we'll both see some improvement
